If a man says, `I intend to be a Nazirite,` and contracts ritual defilement on the thirtieth day, he renders void the whole period. R. Eliezer says: only the seven days are void. [If he says,] `I intend to be a Nazirite for thirty days, and contracts ritual defilement on the thirtieth day, the whole period is void.

If he contracts defilement on the hundred and First Day, thirty days are void. R. Eliezer says: only seven days are void.
