196:20 In the places where it's the law not to bury the deceased until
after 48 hours, nevertheless, the ''Onan'' is not exempt from the laws
of ''Onan'', since after the time has passed he will certainly bury him,
it's incumbent on them meanwhile to concern themselves with his honor,
to prepare the shroud and the coffin, and to prepare the people.1
However, on the second day of a festival, one should be lenient and
exempt them from the laws of ''Onan'', on the grounds that it's
impossible to bury him, due to the government laws.

196:21 In the places we have mentioned, because they are concerned they
might not find people for the purification of the deceased, from the
relatives in the 24 hours after his death, therefore it's recommended to
purify him immediately after his death, and put him in a closed coffin,
and make holes underneath. Then after he was put in the coffin, they are
exempt from the laws of ''Onan'', and (are subject) to the laws of
mourning. In any case, they need to start the count of the ''seven''1
from when they close up the body in the grave.

| 196:22 One who has lost a relative and he doesn't know, if there isn't anyone to take care of the arrangements, he should be told. However, if there are others that are dealing with this, one shouldn't tell him until after he has prayed. If ones wife lost a relative, and she doesn't know, the husband should be strict and not have relations with her.
