167:5 It's forbidden to look at an idol and its ornament, as it's said:1
''turn not to idols'' One needs to distance oneself from its house and
certainly from the idol itself, four cubits so as not to pass by there.

אסור להסתכל באליל ובנוי שלו שנאמר אל תפנו אל האלילים וצריכין להרחיק מן הבית ומכל שכן מן האליל עצמו ארבע אמות שלא לעבור שם |
| 167:6 One has a thorn in ones foot, or some of his coins became scattered, in front of an idol, one shouldn't bend over to remove the thorn or to pick up the coins, since it will look as if one's bowing to it. Even if no one sees, in any case it's forbidden, unless one sits, or turns to the back, or faces to the side of the idol, and afterwards picks (them) up. | ישב לו קוץ ברגלו או נתפזרו לו מעות בפני אליל לא ישוח להסיר את הקוץ או ליטול את המעות מפני שנראה כמשתחוה לו ואפילו אין אדם רואה מכל מקום אסור אלא ישב או יפנה אחוריו או צדו לצד האליל ואחר כך יטול |

167:7 Some (authorities) say that it's forbidden to loan (money) for the
sake of building a house to idols, or for jewelry or for use. Certainly
it's forbidden to sell them (its) articles and the one who refrains
(from this) will be rewarded. One shouldn't look at the Gentile's books,
except the ''Book of the Judges'' and ''Writings''1 If one's concerned
because of (the Gentile's) hostility, in any case what one can leave
out, one should leave out.
