| 152:2 If his wife was there he is permitted to be alone also with another, since his wife watches over him. However, a Jewess shouldn't be alone with a Gentile even if his wife is with him, and even if there are many Gentiles, and their wives are with them, she shouldn't be alone with them. | אם היתה אשתו שם מותר לו להתיחד גם עם אחרת מפני שאשתו משמרתו אבל ישראלית לא תתיחד עם אינו יהודי אפילו אשתו עמו ואפילו הם הרבה אינם יהודים ונשותיהם עמהם לא תתיחד עמהם |
| 152:3 One woman can be alone with two upright men but only in the city at day-time. However, in the countryside or at night even in a city, she needs three upright men. With immoral (men) she should never be alone, even if there are several, unless their wives are with them. One man is forbidden to be alone with two women. With three or more, some (authorities) permit, as long as his profession or trade isn't with items specially for women. Other (authorities) prohibit this. | אשה אחת מתיחדת עם שני אנשים כשרים ודוקא בעיר וביום אבל בשדה או בלילה אפילו בעיר בעינן שלשה אנשים כשרים ואם פריצים לעולם לא תתיחד אפילו הם כמה אלא אם כן נשותיהם עמהם ואיש אחד עם שתי נשים אסור להתיחד ועם שלש או יותר יש מתירין אם אין אומנתו או סחורתו בדברים המיוחדים לנשים ויש אוסרין בכל ענין |
| 152:4 A woman whose husband is in the city, there is no concern to be alone with her, for the fear of her husband is upon her. | אשה שבעלה בעיר אין חוששין להתיחד עמה מפני שאימת בעלה עליה |
