15:12 A person should not pray (i.e. be the chazan) before the ark, who is not wanted by the congregation, and every one who prays without permission, causes arguments and is haughty. They (the congregation) do not answer Amen after his blessings, as it says: 1 ''And the greedy wretch curses and renounces the Lord.'' 1) Psalms 10:3 אין לאדם להתפלל לפני התיבה שלא ברצון הקהל וכל מי שהתפלל שלא ברשות מחמת אלמות וגיאות אין עונין אמן אחר ברכותיו שנאמר ובוצע ברך נאץ ה'
15:13 One does not appoint as a (permanent) chazan except one who has grown a beard, but on a temporary basis, any one who is (aged at least) 13 years and one day, can (lit. go down before the ark) lead the prayers

אין ממנין לשליח צבור אלא מי שנתמלא זקנו אבל באקראי בעלמא כל שהוא בן י''ג שנה ויום אחד יכול לירד לפני התיבה

16:1 The reading of Shema and its three blessings, which are, ''creator of light'', ''with great love'', ''true and firm'' (and also in the evening service the reading of Shema and its blessings.) These (laws of interruptions during these) are more stringent than (those laws concerning) the ''verses of praise''. This (block of prayers) is separated into sections; and these are (the breaks) between the sections: - between (the concluding blessing) ''creator of the lights'', and (the start of the next blessing) ''With great love''; 1 - between (the concluding blessing) ''who chooses his people Israel in love'', and ''Hear, O Israel''; - between ''and on your gates'' and ''And it shall come to pass, if you shall listen'': - between ''above the earth'' and ''And (the Lord) said''. 2 1) Since ''creator of light'' and ''with great love'' are described as the blessings of the Shema, some authorities forbid making an interruption between the conclusion of those blessings, ''who chooses his people Israel in love'', and ''Hear, O Israel''; just as one is forbidden to make an interruption between the blessing for other mitzvot and fulfillment of the mitzvah. 2) An interruption cannot be made between the conclusion of the paragraph of ''And (the Lord) said'' and the beginning of the following blessing ''True and firm..'', in order that we read the phrase, ''G-d, Your Lord, is true,'' without a break, as explained in Law 5.
