| 116:10 Any object that can not be cleaned properly, such as a sieve, or the hollow of a flour mill-stone, and also baskets which were used to hold Chametz, a grater, and a vessel with a narrow neck which cannot be rubbed inside, or has tubes, immersion is ineffective. | כל דבר שאי שאפר לנקותו היטב כגון הנפה וכיס של ריחים וכן סלים שמשתמשים בהם חמץ במגרדת וכן כלי שפיו צר ואי אפשר לשפשפו מבפנים או שיש לו קנים לא מהני ליה הגעלה |
| 116:11 Larders which are used to keep food cool all the year, and sometimes some soup is spilled from the pots, (then) they will need light kashering, namely, we pour over (the shelves) boiling (water), and from the vessel we used to boil the water in. The water is not thrown (in one go), rather we pour it over them slowly (to run everywhere). Tables are customarily also (cleaned) with glowing hot stones, which we put on the table and then pour over them boiling water. We move the stones from place to place, such that the boiling water reaches everywhere. The table must first be scoured (clean) then after 24 hours it is kashered. In any event it is customary not to use (them) also after the kashering of the tables or larders, unless we have spread on (their surfaces) a cover or something else. | התיבות שמצניעים בהם מאכלים כל השנה ולפעמים נשפך שם מרק מן הקדרות צריכין הכשר קל דהיינו שמערין עליהן רותחין ודוקא מתוך הכלי שהרתיחו בו את המים ולא יזרוק את המים, אלא ישפכם עליו בקילוח והשלחנות נוהגין גם כן ללבן אבנים ומניחין על השלחן ושופכין עליהם רותחין ומוליכין את האבנים ממקום למקום באופן שיהיו מים רותחים על פני כולו וצריכין לשפשפן מקודם ואחר מעת לעת יכשירום ומכל מקום יש נוהגין שלא להשתמש גם אחר ההכשר בשלחנות ובתיבות אלא בפריסת מפה או דבר אחר |
