106:6 To collect debts1 it is customary to be lenient even from a Jew
because it (the debt) is considered as an item (which may be) lost.
1) On the Intermediate days is allowed. |
לתבוע חובות נוהגין להקל אפילו מישראל משום דחושבין לדבר האבד |

106:7 To loan with interest to a gentile who is a regular (customer) of
one is allowed, because of (the principle) of ''an item which may be
lost'' so that he doesn't get used to going to someone else. If one
loaned to a gentile who isn't a regular customer of one, one should
spend the interest from the one week1 on the joy of the festival day. To
sell merchandise to a gentile who isn't a regular customer of his is
forbidden, and it doesn't help whatever one adds to the joy of the
festival day. However, to one who is a regular customer of his it is
permitted because of ''an item which may be lost'' so that he doesn't
get used to going to someone else.
1) That is the Intermediate days. | להלוות בריבית לאינו יהודי הרגיל אצלו מותר מפני דהוי דבר האבד שלא ירגיל את עצמו אצל אחר ואם מלוה לאינו יהודי שאינו רגיל אצלו יוציא הריבית משבוע אחת לשמחת יום טוב ולמכור סחורה למי שאינו רגיל אצלו אסור ולא מהני מה שיוסיף לשמחת יום טוב אבל למי שרגיל אצלו מותר משום דהוי דבר האבד שלא ירגיל את עצמו אצל אחרים |
