Yehuda ben Teima says,

"Be strong as a leopard,

and swift as an eagle,

quick as a gazelle,

and strong as a lion

to do the will of your Father in Heaven.

He would say,

"The aggressive are [destined to go] to Gehenom

and the shame faced to the Garden of Eden;

may it be the will before You

God, our Lord

that you will build our your city, quickly, in our day,

and grant our share in Your Torah."

פרק ה משנה כא

He would say

"A five-year-old to [study] scripture,

a ten-year-old to [study] Mishnah,

a thirteen-year-old to commandments,

בן חמש עשרה לתלמוד 

a fifteen-year-old to [study] Talmud,

an eighteen-year-old to the wedding canopy,

בן עשרים לרדוף

a twenty-year-old to chase,

בן שלשים לכח 

a thirty-year-old to strength,

a fifty-year-old to counsel,

a sixty-year-old to old age,

a seventy-year-old to ripe old age,

בן שמונים לגבורה

an eighty-year-old to strength,

בן תשעים לשוח

a ninety-year old to being stooped,

בן מאה

a one-hundred-year-old

כאלו מת ועבר

is like one who has died and passed away

ובטל מן העולם

and is gone from this world."
